General terms & conditions

Article 1 – Definitions
Aurea Escapes: the company providing luxury travel design, travel planning and travel consultancy services.
Client: the individual or legal entity using the services of Aurea Escapes.
Travel Service: any service relating to transportation, accommodation, activities, reservations or other travel-related services.
Supplier: a third party providing travel services, such as hotels, airlines, transport providers or activity operators.
Travel Proposal: a customized travel plan or itinerary prepared by Aurea Escapes.

Article 2 – Applicability
These Terms & Conditions apply to all services, quotations and agreements provided by Aurea Escapes.
By using the services of Aurea Escapes, the client agrees to these Terms & Conditions.
Any deviations from these Terms & Conditions are only valid if agreed upon in writing.

Article 3 – Services
Aurea Escapes provides, among others, the following services:

• Luxury travel design and itinerary planning
• Destination and travel advice
• Accommodation and activity recommendations
• Reservation assistance with travel suppliers
• Tailor-made travel experiences

Aurea Escapes may act as an intermediary between the client and travel suppliers.
In such cases, the agreement for the travel service is concluded directly between the client and the relevant supplier.

Article 4 – Travel proposal and booking
Based on the client's preferences, Aurea Escapes will prepare a personalized travel proposal.
Travel proposals are non-binding until the client confirms acceptance in writing or by email.
Once the proposal is approved, Aurea Escapes will proceed with reservations with the relevant suppliers.
Prices and availability may change until reservations have been confirmed.

Article 5 – Service and design fees
Aurea Escapes may charge a travel design or service fee for creating a customized travel proposal.
These fees will always be communicated in advance.
Design or service fees are non-refundable, regardless of whether the client proceeds with booking the trip.

Article 6 – Payments
Payments for travel services are generally made directly to the supplier unless otherwise specified.
If Aurea Escapes collects payment on behalf of a supplier, this will be clearly communicated to the client.
Payments must be completed within the agreed payment period.

Article 7 – Changes and cancellations
Any changes or cancellations of booked travel services are subject to the terms and conditions of the relevant supplier.
Aurea Escapes is not responsible for cancellation penalties imposed by suppliers.
Aurea Escapes may charge an administrative fee for handling modifications.

Article 8 – Liability
Aurea Escapes carefully designs travel experiences but is not responsible for the execution of services provided by third parties. Aurea Escapes cannot be held liable for damages caused by:

• delays or cancellations of transport
• changes made by suppliers
• force majeure events such as natural disasters, strikes or pandemics.
  The liability of Aurea Escapes is limited to the amount of the service or design fees paid by the client.

Article 9 – Travel documents
The client is responsible for ensuring they have valid travel documents such as passports, visas and required vaccinations.
Aurea Escapes may provide general guidance but cannot be held responsible for incorrect or missing documentation.

Article 10 – Travel insurance
Aurea Escapes strongly recommends that clients obtain comprehensive travel insurance and cancellation insurance.
The client remains responsible for arranging these insurances.

Article 11 – Force majeure
Aurea Escapes is not liable for failure or delay in performing services due to circumstances beyond its control. Force majeure includes, but is not limited to, natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions, strikes or political unrest.

Article 12 – Privacy
Aurea Escapes processes personal data solely for the purpose of providing travel services.
Personal data will only be shared with third parties when necessary to complete travel bookings.

Article 13 – Governing law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by Dutch law.
Any disputes will be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands.
